of Non-Figurative Art
Metaformismo Action©, founded in 2020, is a philosophical platform born from the need to update the critical horizons of non-figurative art. This vision, created by art historian Giulia Sillato, raises doubts about the relevance of classical definitions of "abstract" and "informal," considering them outdated. The approach seeks to highlight the "ontic" nature (Martin Heidegger) of form, recognizing it as an essential element of an artist's expressive richness, as well as indispensable to deciphering their non-figurative message. The "Action" platform brings together seven Masters, celebrating their diverse artistic identities along the common lines of the non-figurative.

Sebastjan Centi adopts an approach that allows the human eye to observe like a camera lens, seeking to capture that tiniest detail that gives meaning to all natural vision. However, the artistic eye immediately takes precedence over the photographic one, triggering one of the purest and rarest imaginative mechanisms ever seen. It is a visual transformation that distorts spaces and swaps proportions, thus generating a pure play of forms, and it is only right that this occurs in contemporary art. Centi's works arise from the need to symbolize reality through form, freeing themselves from historical and conventional constraints.

Sebastjan Centi earned the title of Master of Arts, which allowed him to pursue a solid academic education, having first graduated from the State Art Institute of Trieste in 2001 and subsequently from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2005. In addition to his painting, he has pursued a career as a graphic designer and set designer, collaborating on two films with prominent directors, including Oscar-winning Gabriele Salvatores and Gianni Amelio. Centi is the youngest of the Masters of Action Metaformism, and his presence on the Platform is motivated by his need to introduce into his artistic world a clear and explanatory interpretation of his highly personal, non-figurative message. He displays an extraordinary ability to penetrate the secrets of the natural cosmos and translate them into symbolic forms.
